This service is for 'finished' texts
that require a final, fresh-eye read to catch language errors such as grammar and punctuation, spelling and clarity, as well

COPY-EDITING
This is a detailed edit to ensure
clarity, coherence,check for issues
of repetition and consistency, plus correction of language and formatting errors covered in the proofreading service.

STRUCTURAL EDITING
A structural edit includes copy-editing plus feedback on any issues regarding structure and tone.
For fiction, we're also checking for
consistency of detail in plot, characters, setting and time.
For non-fiction, we're checking for consistency of facts and ideas.

About
Beechbank
Hello, I’m Nichola Tyrrell, founder of Beechbank Editorial Solutions based in Surrey, England. I’m a veteran book editor with over 25 years’ experience in publishing, producing books and web content in a variety of genres and formats.
Prior to going freelance 10 years ago, I worked in-house for a number of London-based international publishers including DorIing Kindersley and Reader's Digest, producing countless branded publications for clients such as Disney, Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures. My roles ranged from editor/proofreader to writer and managing editor.
With the evolution of Beechbank Editorial, I personally edit and manage all projects, ranging from novels and children’s books to travel and how-to guides. I also collaborate with longstanding design partners to provide a full-package book creation service.
Beechbank’s pricing structure is in line with the UK Society of Freelance Editors & Proofreaders. All work undertaken is confidential. I am happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
All editing and proofreading assignments are offered a bespoke price based on a review of sample text. Prices shown are a guide, in line with suggested rates from the UK Society of Freelance Editors & Proofreaders.
